Alhamdulillah wasalatu wasalamu ala Rasulillah,
I visited Al-Madina AL- Munawara on 19/02/1433 (13/01/2012) for the third time in my whole life. I captured more than 250 photos during the visit. Following are some of the photos which I captured during this memorable journey.  I will share more here or create a separate blog for them, Insha-Allah

Narrated Abu Humaid(radhiyallahu anhu): We came with the Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) from Tabuk, and when we reached near Madinah, the Prophet(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, "This is Tabah(meaning the good one)." (Bukhari)

Narrated Abu Huraira(radhiyallahu anhu): Allah's Apostle said, "I was ordered to migrate to a town which will swallow (conquer) other towns and is called Yathrib and that is Madinah, and it turns out (bad) persons as a furnace removes the impurities of iron." (Bukhari)

Jaabir bin Samurah(radhiyallahu anhu) says; "I heard Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) say: ' Verily Allah named Madinah, Taabah(meaning the good one) or Tayyibah(the pure)."

Assalamu alaikum Ch. Abbas Ali,

Dear brother, Thank you so much for visiting the site.

I also used to celebrate a day with this name "Eid Melad un Nabi" but I have come to know that it's one of the innovations which are currently considered as a must part of Islam. While the fact is that we don't see a single hadith which could prove that there was ever an Eid called "Eid Melad un Nabi" in the Islam revealed on Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. I just wanted to share that currently I am residing in Makkah-Al-Mukaramah where the beloved Prophet peace be him was born but people of Makkah don't celebrate this day as "Eid Melad un Nabi".

May Allah reward you for your love of the beloved Prophet peace be upon him but I think we need to do some research to find the path of real ahl-e-sunnah.
